Confused Certainty

by Iola   Apr 26, 2007

You may see your fantasy
Sipping on coffee in front of your eyes
And get a sweet glimpse of destiny
When the look in my eyes catch you by surprise

You may be touching fate
As you rip my skin from each bone
The fine line between a lover and a date
How do you cut off a tree that just wants to grow?

You may tell a thousands lies
Because your sentences are only words
Connecting to my soul means seeing through your disguise
Like a cat who chases away birds

You may fool others with proud and pretense
Even convince yourself that this couldn't be
When you look into my eyes you have zero defense
During our moments of passion we both can see

You may cry a tear for me
When you lie dreaming alone at night
There is more to love than what the eye can see
Our togetherness just feels astonishing right!
