Vacillate

by Jacob M Parnell   Apr 26, 2007

Have you tasted the depth of depression?
Caught in life's indignant deception...
Lost inside this worlds transgression.
Evanescently altering your own perception...

Have you sundered into sorrow?
Not wanting to take another breath.
Abdicating the thought of tomorrow,
No longer uncomfortable with the thought of death.

Have you accepted acquiescence?
Has it become immutable in your mind?
Do you crave for a meaning?
Unaware you are growing blind...

Do you feel like your going insane?
As if you haven't got a clue.
Could society be the one who's changing?
Or could it be you...

The world is an awful place,
The mind changes alongside humanity.
Longing for a sense of belonging.
We all reach a certain level of insanity.

But we must overcome this falsity,
We mustn't give into meretricious zeal.
We shall conquer this society of propriety.
We will decide whats real...

For tomorrow is a new day,
And even if this seems strange.
We all can do something to innovate.
This world is in need of change...
