When we were kids we were friends

by Beautiful Disaster   Apr 26, 2007

When we were kids we were best friends
The fun and laughs never ended
We'd play games all day everyday
As long as we were together we were never alone.

Look at us now,15 years old,our friendship grew
You look at me with a twinkle in your eye
A smile spreads across your face when I say Hi
You hold my hand and hug me tenderly
I giggle,you smile,I run away,you run after me
Our friends say we'll never last,
But they don't know our past.

You hold me close so I won't break down into tears
Because losing you is one of my greatest fears
You told me when we were kids that you loved me
Back then you meant as a friend, now you mean more than that
You kiss my cheek and tell me I'm the only one

Your parents disapprove because of how I was raised
But I'm not like my folks
My mom and dad split when we were kids
You were the only friend I had
You understood my pain, you're the the only one that ever does

When we were kids,we were best friends
Now thats we're older we're more than that
You asked me out 3 months ago and I said yes
My love for you grows more each day
You're the only one I love, the only one for me
You were my best friend when we were kids
Now you're my boyfriend and my best friend.
