Don't Hide

The best friend I had,
The one that I need
She died just because
She did a good deed.

When everyone laughed
And pointed to me,
She was the only one
Who stood besides me.

The moment she came to me
Was the moment I cried,
And she whispered into my ears
That I shouldnt hide.

She took me by her hand
And led me away,
Telling me that
I could play with her today.

She taught me to laugh,
She taught me to smile
But now that shes gone
And its not near a mile.

Once when we were alone
In the icy cold mist,
I asked her a question
And she promised:

I will always be with you
Never away,
Always inside you
To show you the way.

She made me all stronger
She changed me so fast
And now that shes gone,
Im not sure I can last.

When I go to sleep
I hear her soft laugh
And when I do hear it
My heart breaks in half

So I break down and cry
Crying so bad
Wishing she was here
Yet that would be mad.

But I feel someone hug me
Kiss my wet cheek
Whisper into my ears:
Dont go and seek.

Seek what is not there
Seek what is done
Seek someone that has left
Cause shes already gone.

So the moment I laughed
Was the moment I cried,
The moment I knew what
She meant by Dont hide.
