A Fallen Angels Sanctuary

by and there is only one   Apr 28, 2007

In her sanctuary
The fallen angel
Lays on a blanket of white roses
Each stained red with her tears
She blesses each petal
And seals it with a kiss
As it gets wisped into the breeze
And sails away on the winds current

But why does this divine being cry?
And suffocate on her sorrow
Alone her soul fades
Into the darkness
Her heart is concealed with
Caused by a tragic burden
Her spirit empty
Isolated with fear

She holds herself tight
Weeping for another chance
She closes her eyes
And dreams she is free again
No one understands how forsaken she is
No longer will she glide
Between the midnight stars
Her radiant wings broken

Abandoned from heaven
And rejected from hell
She sleeps between
Light and darkness
In her sanctuary
She lies on a bed of white roses
Stained red with her tears
For she is a sacrifice

For she is a fallen angel

    "Abandoned from heaven
    And rejected from hell
    She sleeps between
    Light and darkness
In her sanctuary" I love this.
