My small escape-

by Jess   Apr 28, 2007

I stand naked and bare
in a room with just one door
into a silver world I judge and stare
I have visited here so many times before

Curtains await my arrival
this escape from life is so secluded and small
a short time to reflect on my survival
before I must leave this safe little stall

A warmth runs down and through my skin
A substance awakens my every nerve
A warmth relaxes my muscles within
A substance traces my every curve

My pains and sins surround my feet
they will be taken to a cold dark place
For a moment my worries begin to deplete
To bring a temporary smile upon my face

It won't be long before this calm will end
And I must stand vulnerable and cold
But now with a piece of courage to allow problems to mend
This place of mine will never get old
