My reason to exist

by dany   Apr 28, 2007

I dedicate this poem to a girl called elizabeth who I love with all my hearth

Your freshman year I liked you
And you stopped talking to me,
That made me feel bad
But maybe it wasn't meant to be

Then sometime later
We were friends again
I tried looking at you differently
But I found out I can't

I've hidden this from you
As much as I possibly could
But I can't any longer...
Elizabeth, I love you

Love is a very big word
But nothing else can describe
The feelings I have towards you
The ones I hold inside

Please don't hate me for loving you
For it was not my choice
It's an uncontrollable feeling
That fills me up with joy

I usually close my hearth
And don't let people in
But you somehow managed
To go in it unseen

Whatever you do now
Is you choice and I'll respect it
Even if you stop talking to me
Even if it's hatred

I just had to let you know
What I felt for you inside
And as long as I'm alive
Something inside me for you will cry

Know that I hope you don't dislike me
And that our friendship persists

Also that even if you don't love me, you're important
YOU ARE MY REASON TO EXIST.
