You start as a child
not knowing anything
you go through the years
wishing you knew everything

you start thinking life is great

that life will never end.

you meet some great guys
when worse comes to worse
you get caught in your lies.

Some days were good
some days were bad
life would be amazing
if you still had your dad.

The day he went away
I was full of tears
just knowing that he won't be here
throught the hard years.

You hate the feeling
that he's not around
you stay up late
waiting for the perfect sound.

The sound of his laugh
the sound of his footsteps
but best of all,
the sound of his voice.

You wake up in the morning
wishing he's still there
feeling the pain of fire
swarming through the air.

that it will be alright
