Broken Records

by CarissalRADIOFACEl   Apr 29, 2007

Wait. Please, don't go.
The world is empty without you;
it's empty without you in here
in this house.
Might as well leave without you;
I'll be just as lost if you aren't near.

It wasn't all that long ago
that we screamed, "I love you" from hill tops
and rolled to the bottom,
never hoping to stop.
But these days, you whisper,
"You sound like a broken record, lately."
I've never been this low;
It's another record you've broken, baby.

Hey. It's not too late.
You could turn around now
and pretend we're back at the start.
But I guess,
you're set in your ways
to give me a broken heart.

But
It wasn't all that long ago
that we screamed, "I love you" from hill tops
and rolled to the bottom,
never hoping to stop.
But these days, you whisper,
"You sound like a broken record, lately."
I've never been this low;
It's another record you've broken, baby.

It's not fair that you call all the shots,
and I keep giving it all I've got
and you don't know how much it kills me inside
to live by the laws by which I abide,
but I'd do anything,
I'd do anything.

Cause it wasn't all that long ago
that I whispered, "I love you," from your doorway,
and walked from the room,
wishing you'd ask me to stay

But you sound like a broken record, lately.
I've never been so low-
Wishing that you wouldn't go.
I've never been quite this low-
It's apparent, and it shows.
I've never been this low...
Just another record you've broken, baby.

-Carissa-
So this one... Has got a lot of meaning. Maybe I don't feel this way quite so much (considering the events in which I'm writing about happened when I was in eighth grade [long time ago!]), but I definately felt this at one point. Hopefully, I got the message across good. ^^
