Good Boy

by CarissalRADIOFACEl   Jan 27, 2008

It was about the time
I went crazy
and you went walking out the door.

I was miserable
without you, baby;
and looking for a little more.

He was good boy
but you were my best friend
and it hurt to have to watch you walk away.
I screamed, "I love you,"
but you wouldn't listen
and who's to say he wouldn't do the same?
Same old story
different show
I said, "Love me,"
you said, "No."

It didn't take long for depression
to sink in.
But I'm sure you were doing fine.

I knew I couldn't go through you again
and he,
he wanted to be mine, all mine.

He was good boy
but you were my best friend
and it hurt to have to watch you walk away.
I screamed, "I love you,"
but you wouldn't listen
and who's to say he wouldn't do the same?
Same old story
different show
I said, "Love me,"
you said, "No."

He's got dreams as big as mountains;
bigger than the mole hills you had in mind.
He sings songs to me about my eyes.
You used to say I was a beautiful waste of time.

He was good boy
but you were my best friend
and it hurt to have to watch you walk away.
I screamed, "I love you,"
but you wouldn't listen
and who's to say he wouldn't do the same?
Same old story
different show
I said, "Love me,"
you said, "No."

He is good boy
but you were my best friend
and it hurt to have to watch you walk away.
I screamed, "I love you,"
but you wouldn't listen
and who's to say he'd ever do the same?
Brand new story;
different from you.
I said, "Love me,"
he said, "I do."
