Stupidity Awry

by Pondering Thoughts Of Nothing   May 1, 2007

I can't read your expression...
I sit here all confused.
Filled with worry, doubt and empathy.
...There's something I've abused.
I don't know what to do anymore,
Put a smile on my face?
Or should I bow my head in shame,
Knowing I'm a disgrace?
Watch me, acting a fool
Like a chicken without its head.
The only thing I am able to sort out
Is your feelings that I've misled.
Look at me, here before you
Begging,
On my knees.
While I wish for acceptance,
I know why you ignore my pleas.
Think of me...
Think of the things of stupidity,
sorrow and dread.
Or think of the naive and humbleness...
the innocence instead.
Open my eyes
To the world I am blind
I need you to see.
Please act as the wiser
forgive me once more,
and see beyond my stupidity.
