My Pa

by Lauren   May 2, 2007

I was just a little girl,
When you passed away.
All of us were sad,
To see you go that day.

None of us expected you to go so soon,
It came as a complete surprise.
We should have guessed something was wrong,
By the look in your eyes.

For ages I blamed myself,
Cause I was scared as hell.
I thought it was my fault,
You were next to me when you fell.

There's times when I wish that you were here,
I need to know that you care.
But then again, I don't have to see you,
To know that you are there.

I know that you are still with me,
In every single way.
And I hope that you are proud,
I try so hard every day.

I was only a little girl,
A girl of 6 or 7.
Even though I miss you,
I know that you are in Heaven.

This is a true story about my Pa. I was so close to him, he was everything to me. I was his special little girl, he spoiled me so much. I was there the night he died, I saw it happen. It's something you never forget.
So that's for you Pa.
I love you.
xoxo
