Broken Dreams

by Kyle Winge   May 3, 2007

Have you ever thought about what happens to a dream when it doesn't come true?
When you pu all your faith in it and it just lies to you.
Where does it go? Where does it lead?
Hoping and praying that you'll succeed.
I believe it sticks with you, a permanent image,
It gets burnt in your mind, its called an Afterimage.

Some dreamers, were meant to be chosen,
Some dreams, were meant to be broken,
So passionately, these words are spoken,
You can't tell me you never thought about what happens to a dream that's broken.

Broken dreams,
That slip through the seams,
Tell me baby, what are your dreams?
Maybe I, can help you achieve your dreams.
Shattered dreams can only be mended with love,
I got plenty of it, thanks to the man above.
I speak these rhymes with a passion,
Hoping my dreams won't come tumbling down and crashing.
These lyrics are straight from the heart,
After all, that's where all dreams start.

Some dreamers, were meant to be chosen,
Some dreams, were meant to be broken,
So passionately, these words are spoken,
You can't tell me you never thought about what happens to a dream that's broken.

I haven't been doing this long, it's never been a dream of mine,
But I'll give it a little bit, just a little time.
Sometimes I think my dreams are over,
Like the worlds crashing down and it's getting even colder,
But I look at you and you rekindle my fire,
Cause to see you happy, that's my dream, my desire,
Some of those words you speak cut me deeper than barbed wire.
Some of the stuff I write brings a tear to my eye,
Cause it's so real, I ain't even gonna lie.

Some dreamers, were meant to be chosen,
Some dreams, were meant to be broken,
So passionately, these words are spoken,
You can't tell me you never thought about what happens to a dream that's broken.

I hope no one ever has to fix a broken dream... I hope they all come true... but if you do have to fix them... let the ones that love you... that are around you... help you.
