What you told me..

-you told me that I look beautiful without makeup..

-you told me that you think about me every second that I'm not with you

-you also told me that i was the best thing that ever happened to you

-you told me that I made you happier than anyone ever has

what you showed me..

-you showed me that I could be happy

-you showed me that I was good enough

-you showed me that love is the most beautiful thing in the world

what you gave me..

-you gave me memories which i will never forget

-you gave me notes and cards in which you poured your soul out

-you gave me flowers

what you taught me...

-you taught me to fall and just let go

-you taught me to be carefree

-you taught me to love

... ...

-you told me that you never lie

-you showed me that i was yours

-you gave me some of the best moments

-you taught me things my parents couldn't teach me

BUT..

-everything you told me WAS a lie

-everything you showed me was a figment of my imagination

-nothing you gave me could compensate for what i gave up for you

and most importantly..

-you taught me.....

you taught me that..

-i can never trust another

-that love has to be a two-sided thing

-that even your best friend can betray you

-that every boy truly does want just one thing

you taught me things i will never forget indeed...

and with time I learned..

I learned to get over it.

-i learned to forgive you

-i learned to move on and use the pain to heal myself

-i learned that we weren't meant to be

-that you were at a different point in your life

-that you are still stuck in a phase of your life which is slow destroying you

-I learned that no matter what though.. I AM good enough.

-I learned that i don't need you or anyone like you to be happy

-I learned that every kiss had a cost and that dating you had put me in debt

-I learned..

and no matter how much pain it took..

I would never take it back..

not the things i gave up nor the tears I cried.

It was well worth it.
