Gaining What I Always Had

by {Miss} [A][L][L][I][S][O][N]   May 4, 2007

They told us we didn't know what love was
That we'd just end up with broken hearts
I'm hating them for being right
Hating time for tearing us apart.

This really isn't your fault
We can't seem to find a spot to place the blame
We just got too wrapped up in what we couldn't handle
Love's a twisted game.

There was a fire between us
Passion of the brightest spark
But everyday took you farther from me
Love faded to dark.

So we slowly began to seperate
But didn't seem to fall apart
The love was still there, just different
We couldn't break eachother's hearts.

There is no need for tears now
This is a beginning, not an end
And even without the spark to light the way
Looking back at you, I see my best friend.
