Storm

by Broken Dreams   May 5, 2007

The darkened clouds slide slowly in
Blocking the sun that had just risen
The waves in the ocean rise up
Agony cries out in every crash against the shore
Thunder booms in the distance
The trees quake at the sound rolling in
A wind blows swiftly through
All loose brush begins to fly at its coming
The light becomes blocked as the rain begins to fall
Puddles form on the darkening soil
Mud begins to seep over once beautiful flowers
Where once all was beautiful
Destruction begins to form
The water rises up and begins to cover the earth
Clouds come by blown askew by the forceful flurries
The world is covered in darkness
Shall the storm ever abate
Or will it eternally blow, leaving in its wake chaos and desolation
