Goodbye My Love

by Saved By Grace   May 6, 2007

And you're gone. With the blink of my swollen eyes, the memories fade into the wind. I fought with the left over pieces of my broken heart, and I lost, as I always do. Promises made were simply promises to be broken and you've proven that they will never mean a thing. I am thankful to be rid of your cold, black heart; the release will make me a better, less bitter person. Fogginess clouds my brain as I push these memories into the black of the sky. There was no day in the rain. There is no key to your heart nor a ring of promise and white gold necklace. There is nothing. And there never was.
