Unpretty

by Beautiful Chaos   May 6, 2007

I wander through the world,
Taking in the sites,
Vile, wicked creatures,
Hunt me in the night.

They're seeking out what's inside,
What drives me to believe,
The things I see are beautiful,
And life is interweaved.

I am you and you are me,
Thoughts, the only fight,
That keep us from this understanding,
Hold us from the light.

I view a soul so beautiful,
But the wrappings all you see,
Imperfection's not a sin,
The truth can set you free.

Nothing in this world is ugly,
Except what we create,
War and death and prejudice
All selfish acts of hate.
