Striving for acceptance

Everyone that i see
striving to be noticed
striving for that attention
that they all so long for
with me sitting here
all alone struggling with my thoughts
trying to live my life
the way that i wanna live
not worrying what people think
because whats the big deal
these people don't matter
in two years we will be separated
and most likely wont meet again
the friends that we have gained
will eventually be lost
i know this poem is depressing
but at what cost
will these people pay for attention
anything from giving out sex
to robbing a bank
these people need to relax
cause life would be so much more easier
with out our need for attention
with out our need for attention
we could live our life
with a little bit more peace...
