Vengefully Subdued Demons

Shadows leering over my soul
The depths of hell are rising
Demons lurk in the darkness
Waiting to escape their cages

Caged by resistance and control
They thrash and claw at the cold emotion
That keeps them at bay
Only to be released

Ravaging and maiming all who exist
Driven by hatred and vengeance
They feed on bloody corpses
Gnawing on the splintering bones

They stalk their prey from behind
A mask, to shred through
Attacking unsuspecting victims
Unprepared and unaware

Caution thrown to the wolves
Remorse is no more
They hide
Amongst the backhanded comments
And sarcastic whips

Chains that once held them
Used as weapons
Tethering their victims
Binding them to their hurtful actions
That led to the escape.

    Although you don't rhyme, I really like it. I didn't feel much emotion, but I surely felt something.

    That was amazing. where did you come up with that? I don't believe that I have ever read anything quite like it, the imgery was vivid, the word choice and vocab was awesome, and the flow was absoulty flawless. Again you have done an excellent job on such a dark poem 5/5
