Mother's Kisses

by Siamko   May 8, 2007

Flying down the road, litle legs pumping.
Shrieks of joy, and then a scream.
Landing on her knee, the little girl cries.
Momma comes running, kisses-it's a dream.
Wakes up panting, feeling a tingle inside,
Remembering when solutions were simple.
Problems are bigger now, kisses won't suffice.
Have to pave your own path, can't follow an example.
Thinkin' of future plans and dreams yet to fly free.
So many possibilities, with worries chasing after.
Getting myself into trouble, learning responsibility.
Missing momma's simple kiss-fix, stumbling into a new chapter.
The little girl's hurting, reminising, but learning also.
New friends, new beliefs, and newfound feet to stand on.
Still falling down at times, yet learning to rise stronger.
Searching for someone, something, or somewhere to belong.
This girl doesn't depend on mother's kisses anymore.
She's learned how to survive in this lonely universe,
Has taken the journey through life's adventures.
This girl's grown up, moved on-naivity diverse.
