Sapphire Salvation

by My Decadent   May 9, 2007

A wandering soul in search of light,
Runs and seeks restless each night.
No home to come back to, no one to care,
It's like she was never really there...

The raindrops fall cold on her pale face -
It's hard to find purity in this putrid disgrace,
In this world of lies, treachery and pain;
All battles leave scars, all raindrops leave stains.

Give her a reason to keep moving on
In this world where dusk's as dark as dawn,
Where the sky keeps fading to darker shades of grey,
Where honest hearts are led into dismay...

Every time she opens her jaded eyes
She sees the same lies in the same disguise;
Trying to claw her way out, struggling through life,
Forcing her heart into love instead of useless strife...

A dim ray of hope breaks free and enthralls her,
Unwrapping her heart from pain and anger,
A sapphire light burning brighter and brighter,
Salvation from Heaven standing beside her...
