A letter to my DAD

by Untamed   May 9, 2007

Dear Dad
You break your back
Sitting in your taxi
Driving here and there
Yet i never knew your pain
The one you hid from us
I don`t find that very fair

You cry when you`re alone
You hide your pain from me
Although we`re not close with feelings
I understand and feel sympathy
How hard it is to feed a family
Yet you do a great job
and i love u so dearly

Dear Dad
You`re not alone
Because mom cries when you cry
And my cries are made sure not to show

I cry along with you
I rejoice in your laughter
You`ve come a long way through

You work and work and work
But I feel as if you need to rest
I wish i could be a better student
and get hundreds on all my tests

Dear Dad
i LOVE you
more than i`ll ever express
But you have to keep strong like mom
and help fight back all that stress
I know my brothers are never serious
when it comes to school and labor
But by continuing your strong ways
You`ll be doing us all a favor

I know you have diabetes
I know it`s harsh on your health
But Dear Dad you never complain
And that`s the greatest wealth

I see your tears behind those eyes
Even though they do not flow
And even though your broken and torn
I`m proud of you
Because it never shows

Dear Dad
May God bless you with all goodness
May You never face any fears
May You be given a content life
May you be strong in the upcoming years

Dear Dad
i LOVE you
