Flashback

by Katie Avans   May 10, 2007

I stare into the light as my life flashes before my eyes.
I remember the day, my fifth birthday.
It was so fun, I remember it all.
All the times I was happy and sad, lonely and depressed.

A couple years later, when we were all getting straight A's.
I remember my elementary graduation.
It was so fun, I remember it all.
All the times I was happy and sad, lonely and depressed.

The next year, when we were all getting distinguished.
I remember the day, report cards came out.
My grades were slipping, but it was still fun. And i remember it all.
All the times I was happy and sad, lonely and depressed.

Many months later, I was hooked.
I remember the day; the screams, the arguments, the confession.
It wasn't very fun. I remember....only a little bit.
They very few times I was happy and all the reforming sad, lonely, and depressed moments.
I now remember it all. And I threw it all away.
Like popcorn and a flashback on a cinema screen.

Oh wow, I love it. I am not much of a fan of freeverse (mainly becouse I just can't write them) but I loved it. You had me waiting for the next part!
