The rose in the weeds

by eugene webster   May 10, 2007

They say that life is full of weeds
That you can spend a lifetime
Looking for a flower

I believe I found my rose
Though it has it's thorns
I will learn to hold my rose
So thy hands don't bleed
For they bleed from the search

I have found you now
I shall help you bloom
I will caress your stem
Gently touch your petals
And kiss you softly before I say
Goodnight my rose
Sleep well
