Choked Up

by TearsInTheRain   May 10, 2007

Choked Up, some small hearts feelings,
When you left that day,
I cried myself to sleep,
Then my clothes began to fray,
I don't think I ever thought this was possible.

Choked Up, I still believe in war,
A poets name written on my wall,
Tearful world turn back to steam,
And as you jump and as you fall,
The sound of loneliness makes me happier.

Choked Up, Such pretty words,
Or an excuse to get hurt,
I fell asleep when you were talking on the phone,
You seemed dead to me, Yet alert,
I realized I must have been blind before I met you.

Choked Up, Theres a muddy field somewhere,
My garden, You thought it was strange,
But maybe you're right, its now different,
You thought everything had changed,
But I'm still glad you got away.

Choked Up, I know its cold,
But I still think we have to walk,
And I know you have a heavy heart,
And that its hard for you to talk,
So I'll just look at your reflection.

Choked Up, So many women stronger,
But by the morning I'll be fine,
Dressed down like a model with my eyes all painted black,
Pack my bags and on the train I'll sip white wine,
And then you'll have lost me and you'll feel insane.

Choked Up, Things seem simple in the moonlight,
Conclusion of the dark man,
Or the shadow of the back round in the mortuary,
Your deepest plan,
Put to work but failed, at the first step.

Choked Up, This is how you feel inside,
An empty coffin awaits your dieing day,
And I'm so far away now,
Not knowing if your heads at bay,
But in my head I'm saying Happy Birthday darling.

Choked Up, My feelings too expensive,
Worthless to me but priceless to you,
I'm going crazy inside,
You say you're choked up, Me too,
Flashlights in our love, the world is waking up.

Choked Up, I'm happy just because,
With you Ive found my place,
Your the poison oak choking me,
And ironically I fell in grace
Made ashamed but I don't think Ive ever loved you more.
