At The Ocean

by XSugarSexSuicideX   May 10, 2007

I stare out over the ocean,
Forget about my sleep,
No time for bed in the world of dead,
I shut my eyes and leap.
Immerse myself in water,
Take a deep breath in,
Lungs fill, and I still breathe?
So I begin to swim.
The fish float all around me
It’s a wonderful sight,
But, they also remind me
I’m just here for the night.
I ride atop a sea turtle
Who takes me back to shore,
I sit back down on the white sand,
Wishing for some more.
The sun begins its daily rise,
And dyes the water orange and red,
I smile knowingly, and nod,
Preparing to fall back into bed.
I see the tail of a whale,
As I stare out over the ocean,
Life floods back into me,
And I fall in love again.
