Hurting

by Rad   May 10, 2007

The rain slowly falls from the sky,
Dousing everything with its clear drops.
A streak of lighting lights the meadow,
Tracing out a figure, a mere shadow.

Up close, eyes are tightly shut,
Cheeks are tear-stained and clothes torn.
Blood runs red down her fingertips,
Staining the blades of grass below.

Her heart has been broken,
And her soul has been lost,
Her body is no longer whole,
And she feels her life is worthless.

Everytime she thinks she found the one,
They always make up some lie,
To hurt her emotions even more,
And cause more damange to her pale skin.

She cries and she bleeds,
But no one can simply see,
That this girl is very unhappy,
And with each passing day, it only grows worse.

They all said they love her,
And all said they would never hurt her,
But she always does something wrong,
And causes them to lie to her.

She's so very confused,
And she's so very hurt.
She doesn't know what to do,
And doesn't know how to act.

And now sitting under a willow tree,
Blood draining from her wrists,
She lets out one last breath,
And tells the world she's sorry for ever being here...
