Beautiful Day

by 8Forgotten Past to a New Beginning6   May 11, 2007

I run around in circles,
Making faces at the sky.
I run around in circles,
Watching people passing by.
I am the king of my world,
And all the trees are my empire.
I run around in circles,
Laughing and playing,
For this could last forever.
I run around in circles,
Until the trees fade into the blackened sky,
Until the sky grows old, and my eyes grow week,
But I do not surrender to my weakened eyes.
I do not want this day to end.
But from a far a mother calls,
And with a sigh,
I leave my fortress hidden in the trees.
Walking to the far, from where my mother calls.

not done

I am not finished yet.
