Nightmare

Tonight I can't sleep.
There's too much on my mind.
What will tomorrow bring?
Another horrible day, a perfect nightmare?
Will it all just be the same?
Each passing day I feel the same way;
Sad, lonely, and depressed.
Nobody seems to care.
They've got their perfect lives.
They only think about their own.
They think that I'm just fine
When all I feel is alone.
I just don't want to think
About this nightmare I call my life.
So please, God, let me fall asleep
And drift off into a place
Where I can feel happy.
Until I wake up in the morning
To another horrible nightmare.
