Unexpected Turns

by Lil Mama   May 11, 2007

In your time of need
You can always count on me"
What else could I say?
I couldn't make this all go away.
This was not a dream,
All I could hear were my frustrated screams.
My eyes filled with tears
Cause cynical laughter was filling my ears.
My heart started to slow down,
My head was starting to pound.
Your words I could no longer hear,
My brain had now switched gears.
You ask me, what should you do?
I don't know how I can answer this for you.
Happiness is what you deserve,
But I was not ready for this wild curve.
I stutter and make a reply
And end it with a mournful sigh.
Not exactly sure what to do,
My mind turns and trys to shut off from you.
A wall will be erected once again
To protect myself from indecisive men
Distress is apparent in your voice,
You do not know if this is the right choice.
I tell you have faith and take the long leap,
But to be careful because the fall is ever so steep.
Take the light into your hand,
For she says that she wants you for her man.
Please tread lightly on the slippery floor,
For she could pull you down once more.
Always remember a friend I am,
And I will always do whatever I can.
When you need an ear,
Call me I am always near.
Good Luck and best wishes,
P.s. Tons of hugs and kisses
