She's hurting, can't you see?

by Kelsey   May 12, 2007

In her mind,
and in her soul,
there's a battle going on.
One about her goal.

Her goal isn't a good one,
but it's one she's wanted all along.
She wants to leave this earth,
Even though she knows it's wrong.

In her mind, she doesn't think;
In her mind, she doesn't know;
She doesn't know if people care for her.
If they do, it doesn't show.

They always seem to abandon her
at the worst times that they can.
They never seem to want to help her.
And she thinks this is how it's always been.

But how did this all begin?
That much I can tell you.
She became withdrawn
And she didn't know what to do.

After what seemed like forever,
She finally asked for help.
It was too late for her though.
Because you see, she had to help herself.

No one tried after that.
She was a lost case, and they all agreed.
But how do I know this all?
Because that girl is me.
