Wishes Don't Come True

by Nat-a-Tat   Apr 16, 2004

Wishes don't come true
Believe me when I say
I have wished for months that you'd come my way

I am a child wishing on that shooting star
Soon realizing that I won't go far

Believing we'd be together was just a stupid thought
Finding ways to talk to you
Was just one of my lame plots

Throwing pennies in wishing wells
Chanting love spells
But nothing worked my dear
And so I fear that loving you was a mistake

I'd hold my breath till I turned blue
All for a chance with you
I'd run a million miles
Just for one of your smiles
But wishes don't come true
So I'll give up on loving you.
