Soul and Spirit

Stop please
She screams into the night
Her heart throbbing in pain
He was torn away from her in a violent battle
Of life and death
The one she
Hate to love
Loved to hate
She searched for many days
But when she found him
He was on th cliff of death
Struggling to stay alive
Between life and death
Mercy wasn't on his side
This time
He had been so close to death
So many times
He had almost died
The true love between them
Mercy couldn't let him die
Had he been unfaithful
The prince and to the peasant
Or had he been forced
To be married off, if he declined beheaded
Maybe just maybe
He went to war
For her
Not want the little peasant girl
To suffer
Her heart unwilling to hold such pain
But she wouldn`t want him dead
She`d rather him be alive and her to suffer
Mercy, such willing Mercy
She sang out to the midnight sky
Crying over the princes dead body
Bring him back
Let him live
Instead of me
Mercy answered her prayer
The peasant girl now took the place of the prince
Then again the Prince would not let it stay that way
Death and Mercy
Prince
And peasant
They understood there pain and suffering
They took both there lives
Prince and the peasant
Were forever known as
Soul and the Spirit
