One Two--Star.

by Megann Lee   May 13, 2007

Come sit with me, bring the blanket.
I'll bring my heart and my hand for you to hold.
Lay me down, the wonder we shall see.
Couldn't believe just how many there are.

I count, One Two--Star, then I get lost.
The way the flicker of the furthest ones.
The way you smile when I'm wishing upon a shooting star.
It's the stars that remind me of you.

How late at night, I peer out the window.
And I count: one, two--star, before I sleep.
I make a wish, upon the first star I see.
Picture your arms around me.

I'm falling from grace, catch me upon a star.
One, two--star I count, twinkling like new.
The way they shine, the perfection they emit.
I count; one, two--star and it's one of natures greatest gifts.
