Goodbye Daddy

by Tori   May 14, 2007

Sitting on the porch
Headlights coming down the drive
Sprinting towards him
Lifted me up and twirled me around

Screen door slams shut
Little brother latches onto his leg
Trips over some hot-wheel cars
Turns the TV on

She comes into the living room
Tunes her out
The yelling gets louder
We scatter off to the bedroom

3 hours later
Still arguing
Walks in the room with a suitcase
Kisses us, I will always love you both

Run after him, trying to stop him
Stand in front of door, Stop, stop
Moves me away

Sitting on the porch
Headlights going down the drive
Sprinting after the tail-lights
Never to see them again
