Chains

**This was written by me and my very close friend James. I hope you like it and please read and rate, comment as well!**

James: Stand strong my little neko and make a new path to take,
For it is for your future and for your own sake,
That u tread a path of your on creation and fate,
So take that key, open that lock, and walk through that gate....

Me: I can't open that lock when the key doesn't fit right.
The new path,
Covered in brush blocks my way
And I have no way to cut it down.

James: Stand strong my little neko my friend,
There is always hope in the end,
Keep your heart strong and brave,
And hit it with your heartbeats vibrant waves

Me: Blind from hope, from light.
My heart no longer beating.
All is lost in the mind.
As I fall deeper into the sweet darkness

James: With arms of warmth to the small lost one,
I take you back into the land of kind and a sun,
Hold strong and leave the realm of darkness and chains,
For the burden there could drive you insane.

Me: Arms encompassing me.
Taking me home.
Sweet tender warmth upon my pale skin.
The burden still there but not as heavy.
Even in the land of kind and a sun,
The chains still weigh heavy.

James: Soon u shall be free of that burden of chains,
For u have a helping hand to release u back to sane,
There is nothing to gain from being burdens in the sad,
Just move on, your young, so be glad....

Me: Soon is soon everyone says.
Everyone says they offer a helping hand.
But the ghosts of the past can not easily be put into slumber.
I may be young but experience weighs on me.
The chains still here.
Every binding.

James: Little girl little girl don't out do yourself in pain,
For there is nothing in this world from it you can gain,
I carry more burden, more shackles than a living man should,
And if I could i want to disrobe the garb I carry if I only would,
But till my life and fate are settled in the land,
I shall for ever carry this burden through the endless times of sands...

Me: Pain never ending.
Shadowing my life.
Installing solitude in my mind.
The need to be help growing stronger.
But who would have thought!
Help from someone who feels more pain than I.
Many chains hold down many people.
All different sizes.
Different weights.
You cannot run from them now i see.
That this chain was never meant to be run from.
But worked out until the right key comes.
A ring of keys.
Hundreds upon thousands.
Now to try every one of them,
And pray to the heavens above none of them trick me and make the chains heavier
Now I stands here,
Looking at you,
Covered in chains.
And offer my hand.
As you have offered yours.

James: Step into the dark with sadness in my eyes,
I shake my head and show that I can not cry,
I can lead those from the dark of the heart,
but it is penance and the only way to free me from the start....

Me: Stepping closer to you.
I reach for you.
Willing to show you the light,
As you have showed me.
Willing to step back in the darkness,
And save the one person who has saved me from it.

James: And take your hand in thanks for the kind offer of your hand,
But I must go back to the dark where more do stand,
I choose the path to save those of pain,
For the failure of long ago that drove me nearly insane...

Me: I look as you go back into the darkness.
A touch of hands already felt and gone.
But to do your duty,
My eyes full of understanding.
I turn,
And finally take a step into the daylight that never shined my way before.

James: Watches as she steps within the glow of light,
A little tear trails down and flickers bright,
When that tear touched his chains,
A couple unlocked and less weight was gained,
Watches once more,
And disappeared like folklore forevermore....

Me: I turn for a last look,
At the man who saved my mind,
But already gone,
Sadness crosses my face.
But I shall wait.
For the day when I finally see him again,
Will be the day when gray skies will be forever gone
And the sun would shine just right.
With the world under a balance.
Knowing this will never be.
I disappear.

Holy **** you weren't kidding when you said it was long, but defintely worth the read. It flows wonderfully Katie, and tell James I love it as well. The word choice and everything is superb. Great job for sure 5/5
