You surround me with your issues,
You hurt me with your lies,
This isn't what I wanted,
But you never hear my cries...

You turn to me,
You talk and complain,
This isn't anything new,
I hear the same thing everyday.

You say your my best friend,
You say you're always there,
You say all this without realizing,
That half the time - you don't even care.

We were close to begin with,
Then you started to take over,
So that I was strangled by your words everyday,
I learned soon to take cover.

I was your fall back,
And you weren't the only one,
Who thought that they could take control,
And pretend that they were strong.

But guess what - I've made new friends,
I have started to get over you,
You are angry that I am,
But you knew it was your fault I was so often blue.

It hurts to let you go,
But this is for me,
You've hurt me to often,
Cant you see...
