Running away stops the pain from hurting,
Beware, for round every corner fear is lurking,
For now you are on your own,
The way you want things to be; alone.

Its all about you now and what to do with your time,
Because your not going far with a dollar and dime,
All is OK, you have it all planed,
This is your life now and your new sacred land.

You have the spirit and your staying positive,
Unbelievable as it is, you get a job and start to live,
Memories of where you came from disappear,
Your eyes more open and mind more clear.

Several years, gone, your driving through your old home town,
Your glorious smile has turned into a hideous frown,
Forgetful as you were, for now your remembering,
Your heart beats faster, now you are trembling.
