Sister I Got

by Rhinehalt   Apr 17, 2004

The joy of knowing
What is to have a babe.
A little sister
I never got to see.
I do love her
And will alway remember.
But now I got
The thing I been wanting for years.
She's not all there
In that head of hers.
She can be a bit snapy
When you get on her bad day.
She can test my patience
Every hour of the day.
Following me about my way,
She always on my heels.
Right behind me,
Wanting me to listen
To everyone of her words.
Always ready to talk away
The lazy parts of the day.
She can much stand
To be left alone.
Needing me to tell her
That she is my family,
My little sister.
She's my bestest friend
In the whole world.
We're not blood,
But I don't care.
She is here
And so we are.
The sisters
Neither of us ever had.
