Heaven Or Bust

by Catty   May 18, 2007

Waiting for you
I try not to fall
To protect what I have
As they break down my walls
I take a breath-it does no good
This world is full of disappointed faces
Each trying to find a warmth to revive cold hands
But alone and fed up
The innocent stand
On this road built by memories
Seems like another dead end to me
Society shreds clothing
Only to reveal insecurities
Confidence and common sense
Melt in the pocket of virgin jeans
I wish someone could reach out to me
Remind me I'm not alone
Pieces of me begin to heal
But it seems my clock is stuck
I feel like an addict
Who's come short of a cure
With your mind so drunk on mental lust
I stick out my thumb to the wind
Its heaven or bust
