Betrayed

by Tru   May 18, 2007

I'm beside myself Reaching for the hole in my back,

Never in a hundred years could I have seen the Attack.

It came like a soft thief stealing in the night,

It robbed me of everything including my sight.

I must have been a fool to trust one as you,

Your sense of honesty would have left me dead, cold and blue.

They say that everyone deserves a second chance,

But I'm moving on and never looking back, not even a second glance.

My trust is something you will never gain again,

It seems this story will end before it ever had a chance to begin.

What did you expect stabbing me in the heart,

Now I'll do what I should have done at the very start.

You blurred my vision, lead me well a stray,

Now I've learned my lesson, I know what it is to be betrayed.
