Loving from afar

by Diana   May 19, 2007

Once upon a midnight clearing
I saw a lady so fair of face
Spewing words so endearing
With beauty like excusite lace

I dared not make a sound
For fear of sinning
Upon this sacred ground, As the goddess goes a spinning

The stars I am sure
Are shining with displeasure
As they succumb to her sweet allure
That is more enticing then their treasure

Hair more radiant then the sun
Skin so elegantly pale
This feeling I sense cannot be undone
As the wind continues to wail

When she smiles I see home
When she sings I feel at peace
As the birds continue to roam
A piece of my heart I lease
