What do you see

When you look at me
a rose in a middle of a garden of thorns
a bird with broken wings
lifeless and lost for it could no longer fly
am i like the pain in your heart that anguishly burns
am i as pure as the tears that fill your eyes
or like the rain that you hopelessly wait for
do i symbolize an iridescent flower too vile to gaze upon
is the light that flows through me as bright the sun
my presence, do you adore?
