Forgiveness

by krystal A   May 22, 2007

Thick red blood is pouring out of my heart,
You push the knife in deeper.
The aggression on your face,
The pain your heart is going through.

I didn't mean for you to get hurt,
Now I'm feeling your pain.
Your kind generous hands,
Shaking continuously as you go through it again.

You'd bottled it up for so long,
You were just like a ticking bomb.
I should've seen the signs,
I could have prevented this.

Tears begin to fall from your blue eyes,
You twist the knife out of my dying body.
You stagger up onto your feet,
Taking a glance downwards.

You fall to your knees,
Tears streaming from your reddened eyes
Bringing the knife directly inches from your chest,
You stab into your heart.

You land face down beside me,
Sending the knife deeper still.
Our hearts bleed with sorrow and forgiveness,
Whilst our blood mixes on the tiles.
