I tried to hold onto your hand,
(I know you'll never understand
I have loved you all of this time,
I've dreamed of you in bed at night.)

I tried to make it in your loop
(I just don't fit within your group,
I'll never even be your friend
Each word said will be hesitant.)

I tried to whisper sweet goodbye's
But you were gone, It was too late.
I whispered goodbye in the dark,
Just hoping you'd return.
