I Thought, But I Was Wrong

by Christina   May 22, 2007

I thought that both of our parents were supposed
to be there for you when you need to talk to them, but i was wrong.

I though that both of our parents were supposed to be involved in their child's or children's sports that she plays, not just one, but I was wrong.

I thought that when parents talked on the phone they should be polite and talk nicely to one another instead of fight and arguing with one another, but I was definitely wrong.

I thought that for your child's birthday you should call and say, "Happy Birthday," but I was really wrong.

I thought that if one of your parents doesn't want to go see another parent and you invite one to a softball game, but she says that she doesn't want to go because your father is going to be there, shouldn't she still go to see her daughter play her softball games that are important to her?
But I called her to ask her and she said,"No."
So I guess I was wrong about everything.
