Pen Heart

by Kat   May 22, 2007

She's sitting at her window
Listening to that new Emo band
Well it's raining outside now
And she's got that pen heart on her hand

Well he wears that plaid hoodie
With the hood on his rebellious head
And he thinks about that cutie
He met last night before he went to bed

And if we think about it
How different we all are
And yet how similar we can be

She walks the streets at night
He sleeps during the day
She runs at the sign of a fight
And he walks away

Well shes on the grass outside
Closing her eyes day dreaming
She likes to watch the clouds go by
She's always thinking about screaming

He's playing his guitar in his room
Writing that new song about his life
Broken chords and stressed doom
Being stabbed by an imaginary knife

And if we think about it
How different we all are
And yet how similar we can be

She walks the streets at night
He sleeps during the day
She runs at the sign of a fight
And he walks away

Well he sits at his window
Listening to his new song
And it's snowing outside now
This has been his calling all along

So she's listening to his CD
Screaming into that Hair brush microphone
So alive she's never felt this free
She's never felt this alone

And if we think about it
How different we all are
And yet how similar we can be
She walks the streets at night
He sleeps during the day
She runs at the sign of a fight
And he walks away
