The Storm

The sea
Pure, Deep, and Beautiful
The water shimmers,
Reflecting the glow of the horizon.
Such an amazing site.
You can't help but jump in.
Enjoying the cool waters
With your only love.
Until you're caught,
In the middle
Of two waves.
In a storm.
You try so hard to endure.
But the tides push against you.
You can't fight it any longer.
And you fall.
Fall so far and so deep
Into the dark depths,
Of it's control.
You try to escape.
But the soilders of the sea
Wrap their arms around you.
Hold you there,
Captive.
There's no way out.
But when you gain your strength,
You cut the bonds,
That held onto you
So tight.
You break free,
Race to the surface,
And you're able to breathe again.
Suddenly you realize,
You're in the calm of the storm.
Peace has now restored itself.
You've survived.
Only to be caught once more
In the storm of love.
