Memorial

by Chelsea   May 25, 2007

Staring at screens of black and white
only darkness, a sliver of light.
Flowers fade and then decease
now say goodbye leave them in peace.
Coffins float along silvery seas
nothing left from the killer disease.
Tears fall slowly, as we see them leave.
Goodbye to the heroes of you and me.

You write with a relatively articulate fluency in regards to this "memorial" of the deceased. The slightly plaintive tone was quite effective, for it justly adds somber sentiments to the poem.

Very nice write. Thank you for sharing.
